Glycemic Index

Some carbohydrates are desirable and some are not.  This index is a numerical system of rating how fast a carbohydrate food is broken down by your digestive system into glucose and how quickly this glucose enters the blood stream. Factors such as food processing and preparation will affect the index.

Eating high glycemic index (GI) foods causes insulin resistance, weight gain and chronic inflammation that leads to degenerative disease.

Translation: Some foods make you SLOW and FAT! Others make you slim and fast! You need education to learn how to eat like an athlete and maintain your blood sugar by eating low glycemic.
